Yet it’s interesting—corporate America rebrands and restructures all the time and no one blinks. But when minority companies do the same, suddenly there are questions. Suddenly the standard is higher. Unrealistically higher.

During that pause, we didn’t disappear. We didn’t quit. We went to work. In the middle of a global shutdown, we finished a feature film—shot during COVID—creating 60+ jobs in the community when there was no work.

But we don’t move based on applause or approval. We move on purpose. The newspaper is back because the mission never left. Because stories still need telling. Because our community still deserves a voice. Because rebuilding after disruption isn’t failure—it’s resilience.So we keep grinding. Brick by brick. Story by story. Issue by issue.
